Participating as Core Staff
Usually, I attend conferences as a participant, but this was an opportunity to contribute, even in a small way, to the PHP community, and it was a conference for a framework I love, so I participated as core staff.
(I spent almost the entire day as a registration staff.)
I feel that my ability to manage as an engineer is largely due to the inclusive PHP community, so I hope to give back in any way I can.
Participating as staff made me acutely aware of the challenges of conference management, and I want to continue to contribute to the community while being grateful to those who run conferences.
The staff members were all great people, and I had a wonderful time! Thank you!
Lightning Talk
Recently, I've gotten used to giving 10-minute lightning talks, so I couldn't keep it to 5 minutes...
I thought it might have been better to focus on a theme that delves into Dusk, but I haven't been motivated to touch Dusk lately as I've been away from Laravel.
